Staff sought proposals of consultants who provide public outreach support. Of two proposals received, Tripepi Smith offered a wider array of services and was demonstrated to be an expert in dealing with engagement, outreach and communication in the public sector. Tripepi Smith is a provider of marketing, technology and public affairs services for non- profit and public agencies. The firm has an expansive list of client cities and comes highly recommended.

Although there are many services Tripepi Smith can offer the City, staff recommends the City engage the firm to first assist with the following steps:

1) Website Review (estimated cost $3,250 - $5,400)

Technical assessment and support in enhancing the newly updated site by increasing usability and overall appearance.

2) Facilitate Council discussion to establish goals for community outreach and public engagement (cost based on hourly rate)

This proposal identifies a series of options to supplementing the City's outreach and communication efforts and reflects concepts we have developed through our work in the local government space over several years.
