The Staff Morale analysis uses publicly available data from OPM’s annual Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS), which is an annual census of career federal employees probing employee perceptions of various workforce dynamics. All averages are weighted to ensure survey estimates accurately represent the survey population. Survey weights are proprietary to OPM. Job Satisfaction is the average response by an agency component to the statement 'Considering everything, how satisfied are you with your job?' Responses were measured on a 5-point scale (5= very satisfied, 1 = very dissatisfied). Personal Accomplishment is the average response by an agency component to the statement: 'My work gives me a feeling of personal accomplishment.'
